The Video Ranks Higher Too With As Little As 25 High Retention Views Click Through rate IS a powerful Ranking factor Video views is a powerful ranking factor not just for the video but the url used in your video description Using one link in your video description to a blog post that also has that video embedded is probably a smart thing to do to be effective in this strategy Bounce rate is not as important a ranking factor as click through rate or high retention views (watch the video to learn why!) My colleague John Currie had the exact same happen when he increased video views, so its not a fluke. In fact John mentioned it to me first and then i checked my own blog rankings and confirmed that the blog post that was not ranking for this keyword, was suddenly on page 3 and later page 2.
